A tulip within a lasting-love portfolio

A single recognizable flower becomes a patterned, theatrical image. The tulip motif combines natural form with an exuberant graphic treatment characteristic of Kusama’s botanical works.

Tulipe II is documented as a 2000 screenprint from the Amour pour toujours portfolio. The floral subject is familiar, yet the series title introduces associations of affection and duration. The Roman numeral distinguishes this tulip work from others, while the single blossom offers a compact visual counterpart to Kusama's expansive net imagery.
