The Shinano Road poster by Yayoi Kusama — The Shinano Road refers to a route through a region associated with Kusama’s native Nagano Prefecture.

A road linked to place and memory

A road is both a physical place and an image of passage; its inclusion as an artwork title creates a connection between landscape and personal memory.

Artwork Background and Meaning

Kusama was born in Matsumoto, Nagano, and place-based imagery adds another dimension to her otherwise highly patterned practice.

Display Ideas

For a landscape-led display, place it where the horizon or flowing form has room to breathe, either alone or beside quieter works on paper.

This listing is for the paper poster format. Choose a separate frame that fits the dimensions you order, or browse the framed-print collection if you prefer a finished wooden frame.

The product description specifies FSC-certified paper. This refers to the sourcing of the paper used for the reproduction.

Select from the dimensions shown in the product options above. Measure your wall and, if using an existing frame, its opening before ordering. Allow space around the image so the composition can be viewed comfortably.

Handle the paper with clean, dry hands and avoid touching the printed surface unnecessarily. Display it indoors in a suitable frame, away from direct sunlight, moisture and heat.
