Rain in the Evening Glow poster by Yayoi Kusama — A rich red field is filled with black, twisting net-like marks, creating a surface that flickers between atmosphere and abstraction. There is no literal horizon; the pattern itself conveys the sensation of rain meeting fading light.

The weather imagined as an infinite net

Kusama’s 1992 Rain in the Evening Glow belongs to her wider exploration of nets and natural phenomena. The title lets the repeated gestures suggest weather while the all-over composition refuses conventional landscape perspective.

Nature as an endless visual rhythm

Weather, moving water and natural landscapes offer Kusama a rich vocabulary of repetition. Net-like lines and accumulating marks can suggest a phenomenon that changes constantly while remaining recognizable.

Select from the dimensions shown in the product options above. Measure your wall and, if using an existing frame, its opening before ordering. Allow space around the image so the composition can be viewed comfortably.

Handle the paper with clean, dry hands and avoid touching the printed surface unnecessarily. Display it indoors in a suitable frame, away from direct sunlight, moisture and heat.

Monitor brightness, color settings and room lighting can change how you see the preview. Small differences between the screen image and the physical print are possible, especially when comparing an illuminated screen with matte paper.
