Mt. Fuji of My Heart Speaks poster by Yayoi Kusama — Mount Fuji rises in vivid layers: a red mountain covered with dotted marks, a pale summit and a sky structured by bands, floating spots and eye-like forms. The iconic Japanese landscape becomes unmistakably Kusama’s.

Mount Fuji through Kusama’s imagination

Kusama has explored Mount Fuji in works inspired by Japanese woodblock printing, bringing traditional landscape subject matter together with her signature dots. This composition reads as both tribute and reinvention.

Nature as an endless visual rhythm

Weather, moving water and natural landscapes offer Kusama a rich vocabulary of repetition. Net-like lines and accumulating marks can suggest a phenomenon that changes constantly while remaining recognizable.
