Fireflies canvas print by Yayoi Kusama — A title like Fireflies evokes small points of light suspended in darkness—an especially resonant image within Kusama’s art. The subject suggests fragile illumination multiplied until it feels like a field of stars.

Small lights and the suggestion of infinity

Kusama’s celebrated immersive work Fireflies on the Water uses reflections and tiny lights to unsettle ordinary perceptions of space. The uploaded file’s shorter title does not, by itself, establish that it reproduces that particular installation.

A subject within Kusama’s visual world

Kusama repeatedly bridges recognizable images and the abstract language of dots, networks and multiplication. Rather than offering a single prescribed meaning, her works encourage viewers to consider how close looking can transform a familiar subject.

Displaying Fireflies as Wall Art

This portrait-format art poster places the imagery of Fireflies at the center of the space. Choose its scale to suit your wall: a smaller print can sit alongside other Japanese contemporary art, while a larger format emphasizes the work’s individual subject and composition. The exact print dimensions can be selected from the options above.

A title like Fireflies evokes small points of light suspended in darkness—an especially resonant image within Kusama’s art.

The subject suggests fragile illumination multiplied until it feels like a field of stars.

The Fireflies canvas print uses a cotton-polyester blend weighing 300–350 gsm. Its woven surface adds texture to the reproduced image.

The fabric gives the image a more textured appearance than a smooth paper print. This texture is part of the canvas surface; the product is a printed reproduction rather than a hand-painted canvas.

The canvas is stretched over responsibly sourced FSC-certified wooden stretcher bars. The bars provide the internal support for the fabric and give the print its structured wall-art format.

The described canvas format uses printed fabric stretched over wooden bars. A glass or plexiglass front is not listed as part of this product, so choose a display position where the canvas surface is protected from splashes and handling.

Yes, the product description includes a hanging kit. The components vary by country; check the supplied fittings and use fixings suited to the wall where you plan to install it.

Use the available dimensions in the product options above and measure the intended wall space. A larger canvas gives the composition more presence, while a smaller size can work within a group of prints.

Keep the canvas indoors, away from direct sunlight, damp conditions and heat sources. Remove dust gently with a clean, soft, dry cloth, avoiding scrubbing, cleaning sprays or soaking the fabric.

Screen brightness and color settings can affect the preview, while the fabric texture and room lighting influence the physical print. Small color differences between the screen image and the canvas are possible.
