Eyes Flying in the Sky canvas print | Yayoi Kusama Canvas Print | Yayoi Kusama Prints

Eyes Flying in the Sky canvas print by Yayoi Kusama explores a playful constellation of eyes floating among Kusama’s familiar dots. Inspired by the recognizable visual imagination of the Japanese contemporary artist, this canvas print creates an individual focal point for an art-led interior.

About the Artwork: Meaning & Analysis

Eyes recur in Kusama’s visual world as recognizable shapes transformed through repetition. Here, the image can be read as a meditation on perception, multiplicity and an imagined sky full of observers.

Visual Character and Composition

Repeated eye-shaped forms suggest looking and being looked at. The contrast between individual eyes and the surrounding pattern gives the composition a lively, watchful quality. The composition rewards a slower look at how the recognizable subject, its repeated forms and the negative space relate to one another.
