Stars poster by Yayoi Kusama — The sky at night can be read as an immeasurable collection of points of light. Stars brings that idea into dialogue with Kusama’s lifelong devotion to the polka dot and the expansion of repeating marks.

The universe expressed as repeated lights

Her work frequently bridges microscopic and cosmic scales, making simple spots suggest the endless space beyond human sight.

Kusama’s vocabulary of dots

Polka dots became one of Kusama’s signature visual ideas. They can suggest isolated particles, multiplied cells or points within a wider cosmos, linking individual marks to a seemingly infinite whole.

Displaying Stars as Wall Art

This portrait-format art poster places the imagery of Stars at the center of the space. Choose its scale to suit your wall: a smaller print can sit alongside other Japanese contemporary art, while a larger format emphasizes the work’s individual subject and composition. The exact print dimensions can be selected from the options above.

The sky at night can be read as an immeasurable collection of points of light.

Stars brings that idea into dialogue with Kusama’s lifelong devotion to the polka dot and the expansion of repeating marks.

Stars is printed on 250 gsm paper with a listed thickness of 0.29 mm (11.4 mils). This substantial paper provides a smooth surface for the reproduced artwork.

The paper has an uncoated matte finish and a natural white, slightly off-white tone. Its low-shine surface gives the image a soft presentation without the glossy sheen of coated photo paper.

The description specifies acid-free paper with a pH above 7, intended to help resist yellowing over time. Careful framing and a dry display location remain important for protecting the print.

This listing is for the paper poster format. Choose a separate frame that fits the dimensions you order, or browse the framed-print collection if you prefer a finished wooden frame.

The product description specifies FSC-certified paper. This refers to the sourcing of the paper used for the reproduction.

Select from the dimensions shown in the product options above. Measure your wall and, if using an existing frame, its opening before ordering. Allow space around the image so the composition can be viewed comfortably.

Handle the paper with clean, dry hands and avoid touching the printed surface unnecessarily. Display it indoors in a suitable frame, away from direct sunlight, moisture and heat.

Monitor brightness, color settings and room lighting can change how you see the preview. Small differences between the screen image and the physical print are possible, especially when comparing an illuminated screen with matte paper.
